Rabbi Tarlow is married to Sara Alpern, a History professor at Texas A&M. He has two biological children, Nathan and Lyse, and over 200 adopted children – he views every student that comes through Texas A&M Hillel as his own. He encourages students to call him whenever they need to chat, feel lonely, have an ethical, spiritual, or religious problem, or just need to reach out, and is known affectionately as just “Rabbi”. Students are always welcome not only at the Hillel building but at Rabbi and Sara’s home for Shabbat dinners and student board sleep-overs. To contact Rabbi Tarlow, email ptarlow1@verizon.net

Sue Doyle, Secretary
Sue Doyle has been the Texas A&M Hillel secretary for almost 10 years, and does a great job. She always has a smile on her face, and is always willing to go out of her way to help a student. She goes above and beyond, and does more than just answer the phones; she keeps Texas A&M Hillel running on a daily basis. She loves company, so students are encouraged to come by the Hillel building between classes to “secretary sit” whenever possible. You can always count on Sue to answer any question.
